| 2005 will mark the 18th anniversary of the VDHA Fall Banquet. This
first-rate event has become recognized by the outdoor folks in Virginia as the place to
be.
Several of the young ladies who volunteer their time to help with this worthwhile fundraiser are pictured here with VDHA president, "Tex" Sadler. The young ladies work throughout the evening showing our guests the many different and extraordinary items for sale.
Our dinner and auction will again be held at the Holiday Inn,
Koger Center South, in the new spacious ball room designed for larger gatherings.
This year's auction will feature art work by renowned artists Terry Redlin, John Barber
and Roger Flythe, just to name a few. We will also offer bronze sculptures and
carvings by famous artists like Dick Idol and Bob Scriver.

The social hour is always a big hit with the raw bar
consisting of steamed shrimp and raw oysters. Our guests are then treated to a
magnificent buffet dinner with the chef's personal touch fit for a king.

There are six to eight raffles going on throughout the evening. The $1,000 brief
case is one of the most popular raffles with only one hundred chances sold.

The highlight of our evening is our auction. Jerome and David Clark with Nichols Auction Company generously donate their time and talent for this successful annual event. The association will have all types of equipment for the
outdoor sportsman like shotguns, muzzleloaders, tree stands, optics, guided hunting and
fishing trips. The list goes on and on. There will be things of interest for
both sportsman and women alike.

The VDHA Fall Banquet has become quite a ladies affair. All of our women guest are presented with a long stem rose and many of the auction items are for the ladies.
The VDHA is looking forward to another successful fund raiser
for our Scholarship Grant and the organization's commitment for the future of deer hunting
in the Old Dominion.
If you would like to enjoy this year's event, please complete
the order form with payment and return to the VDHA or
call (804)743-1290 or email quaiff@comcast.net.
All tickets will be sold in advance and we hope to see some new faces this fall. The
Association is looking forward to another great evening of fellowship and relaxation for
those who attend. |
