Curtis Tharpe Memorial Golf Tournament

The Curtis Tharpe Memorial Golf Tournament began in 2016, in memory of Curtis W. Tharpe. Curtis was diagnosed with ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis in June of 2014, and lost his battle with the disease on February 18, 2016. 

With the help of friends and family of Curtis, the VDHA began hosting a golf tournament at The Manor in Farmville, VA. All proceeds from the tournament are split between the VDHA's Lee Roy Gordon Scholarship Fund, and The ALS Association DC/MD/VA Chapter.
